Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Amy over at Signs, Miracles, and Wonders has this sweet Saturday meme.

This old hymn has always been precious to me. It's helped me through some rough times when I felt that no one cared. It's called, "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus". My favorite part, (the chorus) doesn't start until around 2:00 I think.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,
Since I found in Him a friend so kind and true.
I would tell you how He changed my life completely;
He did something no other friend could do.

Everyday He comes to me with a new assurance
More and more I understand His words of love
But I'll never know just why He came to save me
Till that day I see his blessed face above.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus;
There's no other friend so kind as He.
No one else could take
the sin and darkness from me;
O how much He cared for me.

Here you can hear it played in piano, and see all the lyrics. Thanks for reading.

  3. Thanks for posting some of Charles Weigle's lovely hymn. (Today is the 139th anniversary of his birth.)

    If you enjoy reading about our hymns and their authors, I invite you to check out my daily blog on the subject, Wordwise Hymns. (A couple of articles on Mr. Weigle today.)

    And if you’ll excuse a brief “commercial:” If you do not have a good book on the subject of our Christmas carols, I encourage you to take a look at my own, Discovering the Songs of Christmas. In it, I discuss the history and meaning of 63 carols and Christmas hymns. The book is available through Amazon, or directly from Jebaire Publishing. (Might make a great gift too!)
